Resettofactorydefaults

Youmaywanttoresettheaccesspointtofactorydefaultsifyouareencountering
difficultiesandhaveattemptedallothertroubleshooting.Beforeyouresettodefaults,if
possible,youshouldbackupyouraccesspoint’sconfigurationfirst.
Therearetwomethodsthatcanbeusedtoresetyouraccesspointtofactorydefaults.
ResetButton:Locatedonthefrontpanelofyourrouter,(see“ProductHardware
Features”onpage5).Usethismethodifyouareencounteringdifficultieswith
accessingyourroutermanagementpage.

1.Logintoyourmanagementpage(see“Accessthemanagementpage”onpage16).
2.ClickontheManagementtabandclickBackup/RestoreSettings.
3.ClickLoadDefault.Ifprompted,clickYesorOk.

Youmayhaveaddedmanycustomizedsettingstoyourrouterandinthecasethatyou
needtoresetyourroutertodefault,allyourcustomizedsettingswouldbelostand
wouldrequireyoutomanuallyreconfigureallofyourroutersettingsinsteadofsimply
restoringfromabackeduprouterconfigurationfile.
Tobackupyourconfiguration:
1.Logintoyourmanagementpage(see“Accessthemanagementpage”onpage16).
2.ClickontheManagementtabandclickBackup/RestoreSettings.
3.ClickExportSettings.
4.Dependingonyourwebbrowsersettings,youmaybepromptedtosaveafile(specify
thelocation)orthefilemaybedownloadedautomaticallytothewebbrowser
settingsdefaultdownloadfolder.(DefaultFilename:config.bin)
5.Savetheconfigurationfiletolocationonyourcomputer.
Torestoreyourconfiguration:
1.Logintoyourmanagementpage(see“Accessthemanagementpage”onpage16).
2.ClickontheManagementtabandclickBackup/RestoreSettings.
3.UnderImportSettings,dependingonyourwebbrowser,clickonBrowseorChoose
File.Aseparatefilenavigationwindowshouldopen.
4.Navigatetothelocationoftherouterconfigurationfiletorestore.
(DefaultFilename:config.bin).
5.Selecttherouterconfigurationfiletorestore.Entertheloginpasswordunder
EncryptKeyandclickSave.
(DefaultFilename:config.bin).Ifprompted,clickYesorOK.
6.Waitfortheroutertorestoresettings.
Restartaccesspoint

Youmaywanttorestartyouraccesspointifyouareencounteringdifficultieswithyour
routerandhaveattemptedallothertroubleshooting.
Therearetwomethodsthatcanbeusedtorestartyouraccesspoint.
Turntherouteroffdisconnectthepoweradapterfromtherearpanelofyour
routerfor10secondsandreconnectthepoweradapter,(see“ProductHardware
Features”onpage5).
Usethismethodifyouareencounteringdifficultieswithaccessingyourrouter
managementpage.Thisisalsoknownasahardrebootorpowercycle.
