Maintenance and Adjustment
Coolant Level Adjustment
Allow the engine to cool.
Remove the two fasteners and detach the
headlight trim panel (located below the
headlight) by sliding it forwards.
Disconnect the ambient air temperature
sensor connector and remove the trim panel.

Remove the two fasteners from the left hand
fairing infill panel.
Release the left hand fairing infill panel stud
from the mounting grommet and remove it
from the motorcycle.

Remove the cap from the expansion tank
and add coolant mixture through the filler
opening until the level reaches the MAX
mark. Refit the cap.

Refit the left hand fairing infill panel, ensuring
the stud is correctly located on the grommet.
Tighten the fasteners to 27 lbf-in (3 Nm).
Do not remove the radiator pressure cap
when the engine is hot. When the engine
is hot, the coolant inside the radiator will be
hot and also under pressure. Contact with
this hot, pressurized coolant will cause
scalds and skin damage.
