Component Description
EC Fan The EC Fans used in the AHU are energy-eicient and innovative with integrated electronics
and maintenance-free design. These fans provide a cost-eective way to introduce energy-
eicient technology by regulating the airflow and reducing the fan input power. Also, the easy-
to-connect feature bundled with the benefit of minimal wiring adds to the high performance with
a greater range of possible airflow rates.
Filter AHU adopts an MERV8 plate air filter which is combined with non-woven polypropylene fiber
filter material and metal frame. The filter is featured by large dust capacity, large airflow, small
resistance, and easy installation.
EPIV EPIV-Electronic Pressure Independent Valve. The water flow of the unit can be controlled very
accurately, even if the water pressure fluctuates, the water flow can be kept stable. EPIV has the
characteristics of high reliability, maintenance-free, fast response, and direct flow control.
Coil The coil used in the AHU models consists of a fin-tube heat exchanger for higher eiciency. The
model-specific distribution can ensure the even distributions of chilled water in each loop and
improve the heat exchanger’s eiciency significantly apart from minimizing the water-resistance
of the heat. It also minimizes the water pressure drop. The coil is hydrophilic coated as standard.
Air Damper AHU adopts an motorized air damper, which is composed of a framework, blade, drive link, and
actuator. The air damper can realize digital value control by using a 7S quick switch, which can
provide powerful assurance for the reliable operation of the unit.
iCOM Controller The iCOM Controller with an easy-to-use interface with an “auto-restore on power-failure”
feature can store up to 400 records at a given point of time. It comes with dual options, namely-
a small display and a large display. It directly connects to the facility network (Ethernet) and
enables communication with several AHU chillers in a synchronous manner, establishing a
high degree of reliability. It oers the highest capabilities in unit control, communication, and
monitoring of mission-critical cooling units.
1.4.1. 9-Inch Color Display
AHU unit is available with 9-inch touch screen as a standard display, using a multi-color 800×480 dot-matrix liquid crystal
touch screen with white backlight as shown in Figure 1-3. The operation of the unit becomes simpler and more convenient,
and the status view of the unit is more visualized.
