Engine settings
General
The installation holes for the adjustment drifts are in
the flywheel and in the front camshaft bearing jour-
nal. When these holes are aligned to the adjustment
holes in the flywheel cover and the camshaft cover
the cylinder 1 piston should be in the Top dead
center (TDC) position of the compression stroke.
The fuel injection pump pulley has two adjustment
marks (A and B) and two keygrooves. The key-
groove on the same side as the relevant adjustment
mark must always be used.
Setting the fuel injection pump must always be
checked after the timing belt tension has been ad-
justed.
