116 Intercooler
Fuel tank, replacing breather filter
Replace the breather filter every 1000 hours.
The filter is of the disposable type, i.e. it cannot be cleaned
but must be replaced.
1 Remove cover (A).
2 Replace the filter insert.
3 Reinstall the cover.
Intercooler
The engine is provided with an air-to-air type intercooler. The
intercooler lowers the temperature of the induction air by
approximately 100 °C. As a result the induction air will have a
higher density,which means that more fuel can be injected and
combusted. This results in higher engine power, but the colder air
causes less stresses on valves and pistons.
