Turbocharger
IMPORTANT! Run the engine at low idle for at least half a
minute after start and a few minutes before it is stopped. This
is to ensure lubrication of the turbocharger.
The turbocharger is lubricated and cooled by the engine's
lubrication system. A vital condition for the function of the
turbocharger is that engine oil and filter are changed at regular
intervals. Maintenance of the air cleaner, tightness (sealing) of the
exhaust system and the lubrication oil lines are also important for
the function.
If noise or vibrations are confirmed in the turbocharger, change it
immediately.
Only a workshop authorised by Volvo CE may do work on the
turbocharger.
