Telephone base backup battery installation
This telephone provides minimal functionality during a power outage
when there is no battery installed. When there is no power supply
to the telephone base, many telephone features are not functional.
The telephone uses power from the telephone line to enable you to
make and answer calls using only the corded handset and dialing
keys. However, when another telephone on the same line is being
used simultaneously, there might not be sufficient power to use your
telephone in the event of a power failure.
Install three AAA batteries (not provided) so that your telephone can still
operate in the event of a power failure.
Press the large tab on the backup battery compartment cover. Then
pull to open.

compartment cover. Push the
large tab until it locks securely.
