Answering system operation
Record, play and delete memos
Memos are your own recorded messages used as reminders for
yourself or others using the same answering system. You can record
your own memos using a system handset or the telephone base.
Play and delete them in the same way as incoming messages (see
Message playback on pages 113 and 114).
To record a memo with a cordless handset:
Press MENU when the handset is not in use.
Press or to scroll to Answering sys, then press SELECT.
Press or to scroll to Record memo, then press SELECT.
The system announces, “Record after the tone. Press 5 when you
are done.” After the tone, speak towards the microphone.
Press 5 when done. The system announces, “Recorded.”
To record a memo with the telephone base:
Press MENU when the telephone base is not in use, then press SELECT
to select Answering system.
Press or to scroll to Record memo, then press SELECT.
The system announces, “Record after the tone. Press SAVE when
you are done.” After the tone, speak towards the microphone.
Press SAVE when done. The system announces, “Recorded.”
“Memory is full,” is announced if you record a memo when the
memory is full.
Each memo can be up to three minutes in length.
Memos shorter than two seconds are not recorded.
