21 Performance data
Note: Flow rates quoted have been rounded for simplicity, but are accurate to within 5% -well within the
normal tubing-tolerance variation of flow rate. They should therefore be taken as a guide. Real flow
rates in any application must be determined empirically.
Note: The pumphead can be connected to a variable speed. Flowrates are linear so can be calculated for
speeds less than 350rpm

21.1 Pumping conditions
Pressure and viscosity
l All pressure values in this operating instruction, from which performance and life figures have been
calculated relate to peak pipeline pressures.
l Although rated to 2 bar working pressure, this pump will generate in excess of 2 bar working
pressure if pipeline restrictions are in place. In instances where it is critical that a working pressure of 2
bar is not exceeded, pressure relief valves should be installed in the pipeline.
l For the maximum pressure rating for this pumphead see section 10 "Operating parameters" on
page18 . Users must ensure in the system design that these pressure limits cannot be exceeded.
l Impulse loses and pulsation can be minimised by ensuring one metre of smooth bore linear tubing
is connected to the discharge port of the pumphead. This is especially important with viscous fluids
and rigid pipework. It is the users responsibility to ensure that the pipework is suitable for the ATEX
zone and application and that correct provision for dissipation of any electrostatic charge has been
included.
