3.1 505L ATEX pumphead description
The 505L ATEX pumpheads use the peristaltic principle by employing 6 occluding rollers assembled as a
rotor, which occludes a specially designed tube and provides fluid flow by positive displacement as it
rotates.
The pumphead is largely of coated metal construction, with the track and rotor body being anodised
aluminium. The occluding rollers are of steelconstruction. The rotation of the occluding rollers is allowed
using roller bearings supported by steel shafts. Materials of construction are detailed in this manual.
The pumphead is designed to be direct mounted or close coupled onto a suitable motor gearbox using
the instructionsdetailed in this manual.
