USER GUIDE WebdynSunPM
WebdynSunPM User guide Version 1.0
In order to suppress signal reflections as much as possible, a terminating resistor must be added to
the end of the transmitter lines. This end-of-line resistance must be of the same value as the line
impedance; i.e., 120 Ω.
If the WebdynSunPM concentrator is at the end of the line, activate the product's internal
termination resistance, represented by the
symbol. To do this, connect the Rx+ terminal to the
termination resistor as shown below.
The distances are in the range of one kilometer for flows of up to 230,400 bps, and 500 meters for a
flow rate of 460,800 bps.
On the same line, without the signal being regenerated, the EIA-485 standard imposes a maximum of
32 devices.
For more information regarding RS485/RS422 standards and equipment cabling, please
refer to EIA-485 and EIA RS-422-A.
