Figure 9-4: Event triggered recording with pre-alarm, alarm image and postalarm
For event triggered recording, recording is controlled by the corresponding control input and/or
IntrusionTrace.h. Event triggered recording creates a separate entry in the image database for each event, as
opposed to continuous recording. Later evaluation uses camera selective display. For event triggered
recording, recording speed and recording duration can be specified separately for pre- and post-alarm
sequences.
Event triggered recording has two advantages over continuous recording:
l Event triggered recording with defined pre- and post-alarm sequences allows for a more precise
evaluation of images based on event selection. The alarm image and events before and after the alarm
can be analysed directly.
l Event triggered recording, as a rule, only records relevant data. Evaluation is therefore to the point and
much faster.
Event triggered recording controlled by contacts
This mode triggers event recording by control input status changes. A normally closed contact produces a
positive edge upon opening (from low to high, Edge +) while a normally open contact produces a negative
edge (from high to low, Edge –) upon closing.
