INTAKE MANIFOLD AND REED VALVES
CHECKING THE REED VALVE
1. Check:
• Reed valve
Cracks/damage ➔ Replace.
2. Measure:
• Valve bending

Out of specification ➔ Replace.
3. Measure:
• Valve stopper heigth

Out of specification ➔ Replace.
INSTALLING THE INTAKE MANIFOLD
ASSEMBLY
Install:
• Intake manifold assembly
NOTE:
Tighten the intake manifold mounting bolts
in two steps of torque.
Valve bending limit:
0.2 mm (0.008 in)
Valve stopper height:
3.0 ± 0.2 mm (0.12 ± 0.01 in)
Intake manifold mounting bolt:
1st: 4 N•m (0.4 kgf•m, 2.9 ft•lb)
2nd: 8 N•m (0.8 kgf•m, 5.8 ft•lb)
