If you encounter a 'Polarity Detection Failure A.C50' with your YASKAWA Servo Drives, it could be due to several reasons. First, verify that the resolution and motor phase selection (Pn080.1) settings are correct, referring to the encoder specifications and feedback signal conditions. Also, noise in the scale signal can cause this issue; ensure proper grounding and check the encoder cable. If the motor is experiencing external torque, try to reduce it, or increase the speed loop gain (Pn481). Finally, if the resolution is too rough, consider using the recommended resolution or increasing the command speed (Pn493), noting that this will increase the movement range.
