Alarm Number: Alarm
Name (Alarm Description)
Cause Investigative Actions Corrective Actions
A SERVOPACK fault
occurred.
- The SERVOPACK may be
faulty. Replace the SERVO-
PACK.
A.830: Encoder Battery
Alarm
The battery voltage was
lower than the specified
level after the control power
supply was turned ON.
Measure the battery voltage. Replace the battery.
A.840: Encoder Data Alarm A linear scale fault occurred Turn the power supply OFF
and then ON again.
If the alarm still occurs, the
linear scale may be faulty.
Replace the servomotor.
Malfunction of linear scale
because of noise interfer-
ence, etc.
- Correct the wiring around
the linear scale by sepa-
rating the cable for linear
scale from the main circuit
cable or by checking the
grounding and other wiring.
Note: If the scale file is configured for Hall sensor connectivity, a Hall sensor must be con-
nected. Disabling Hall sensor connectivity (Pn080.0 = 1) and trying to work without the
sensor will cause error A.840.
A.850: Encoder Overspeed The linear scale was oper-
ating at high speed when
the power was turned ON.
Check the motor speed
(Un000) to confirm the
motor speed when the
power is turned ON.
Reduce the motor speed to
a value below the speed
specified by the linear scale
manufacturer, and turn ON
the control power supply.
A.860: Encoder Overheated The internal temperature of
linear servomotor is too
high.
Measure the ambient oper-
ating temperature around
the linear servomotor.
The ambient operating tem-
perature of the linear servo-
motor must be 40 °C or less.
A.890: Encoder Scale Error A linear scale fault occurred. - The linear scale may be
faulty. Replace the linear
scale.
A:891: Encoder Module
Error
A linear scale fault occurred. Turn the power supply OFF
and then ON again.
If the alarm still occurs, the
linear servomotor may be
faulty. Replace the linear
servomotor.
A.C80: Encoder Clear Error
or Multiturn Limit Setting
Error
A linear scale fault occurred. Turn the power supply OFF
and then ON again.
If the alarm still occurs, the
linear servomotor may be
faulty. Replace the linear
servomotor.
A SERVOPACK fault
occurred.
Turn the power supply OFF
and then ON again.
If the alarm still occurs, the
SERVOPACK may be faulty.
Replace the SERVOPACK.
A.C90: Encoder Communi-
cations Error
Contact fault of cable con-
nector for linear scale or
incorrect wiring.
Check the status of cable
connector contact for linear
scale.
Re-insert the cable connec-
tors for linear scale and con-
firm that the linear scale is
correctly wired.
Disconnection or short-cir-
cuit of the cable for linear
scale. Or, incorrect cable
impedance.
Check the linear scale con-
nection cables.
Use the linear scale connec-
tion cables with the speci-
fied rating.
