CHAPTER 17
MGMT Interface
17.1 Overview
This chapter explains how to configure the LTE2566-M634 remote management. Remote Management
allows you to manage your LTE2566-M634 from a remote location.
17.2 What You Can Do
• Use the Local MGMT screen to configure settings for HTTP or HTTPS access to the LTE2566-M634
(Section 17.4 on page 103).
• Use the Remote MGMT screen to configure through which interface(s) users can use which service(s)
to manage the LTE2566-M634 (Section 17.5 on page 104).
17.3 What You Need To Know
Remote management over LAN or WAN will not work when:
• The IP address (Section 17.4 on page 103) does not match the client IP address. If it does not match,
the LTE2566-M634 will disconnect the session immediately.
• There is a firewall rule that blocks it.
17.3.1 System Timeout
There is a default system management idle timeout of five minutes (three hundred seconds). The
LTE2566-M634 automatically logs you out if the management session remains idle for longer than this
timeout period. The management session does not time out when a statistics screen is polling. You can
change the timeout period in the Maintenance > General screen.
17.4 Local MGMT
To change your LTE2566-M634’s remote management settings, click Configuration > Management >
MGMT Interface to open the Local MGMT screen.
Note: You must enable the remote management service in the Configuration > Management
> MGMT Interface > Local MGMT screen for the settings in the WWW screen to take
effect.
