SMS
16.1 Overview
This chapter shows you how to view the text messages.
SMS (Short Message Service) allows you to send and view the text messages that the LTE2566-M634
received from mobile devices or the service provider.
16.1.1 What You Can Do in this Chapter
• Use the SMS summary screen to select SMS storage location (Section 16.2 on page 96).
• Use the New SMS screen to send new messages (Section 16.3 on page 97).
• Use the SMS Inbox List screen to view messages received on the LTE2566-M634 (Section 16.4 on page
98).
• Use the SMS Draft Box screen to view messages not yet sent from the LTE2566-M634 (Section 16.5 on
page 98).
• Use the SMS Outbox List screen to view messages sent from the LTE2566-M634 (Section 16.6 on page
99).
• Use the USSD screen to request services to the Internet service provider (Section 16.7 on page 100).
• Use the Phonebook screen to mange the phonebook of the LTE2566-M634 (Section 16.8 on page
101).
16.2 SMS Summary
Use these screens to configure the LTE2566-M634 SMS settings.
16.2.1 Set SMS Storage Location
Click Configuration > Application > SMS > SMS Summary to open the following screen. Use this screen to
select the SMS storage location. Select Local from the drop-down menu to store SMS in the LTE2566-
M634 internal memory. Select SIM to store SMS in the inserted SIM card. Click Apply to apply your
changes.
