During a call
Using the mute function
The call is set up with a party and you want to have a confidential conversation without the
party being able to hear it:
1- Press the key .
The handset microphone is cut and an audible signal
indicates that the function is enabled.
Your party cannot hear you.
2- Press the key again to resume the conversation with
the party.
Placing the party on hold and resuming the call on the same set
The call is set up with a party and you want to put it on hold to resume it later on the same set:
1- Press the key .
Your party is put on hold and hears beeps or music-on-
hold.
2- Successively press the keys or *, to
resume the conversation with your party.
Note: the hold function can be programmed on a programmable
key. If you use this function regularly, consult your system
operator who will get it programmed.
Placing the party on hold and resuming the call on another set
The call is set up with a party and you want to continue the conversation on another set
located in another office:
- Successively press the keys or *
before hanging up.
The set returns to standby. Your party is put on hold and
hears beeps or music-on-hold.
