The multi-key function
The multi-key function*
A multi-key programmed set has only one directory number, but has personalized keys to
enable it to process several calls at the same time. Therefore, you can answer your parties as
the calls arrive and display the calls on hold.
Note: This function will be programmed by your system operator. You must ask for a personalized key to
be programmed for each call that you want to make at the same time. Example: for three simultaneous
calls, ask for the multi-key function to be programmed on three keys.
Communicating with the multi-key function
The multi-key function must be programmed on at least two keys.
When a call arrives on your set that is multi-key programmed,
the indicator associated to the personalized key flashes.
Note: depending on the associated system version, you may need to
lift the handset before carrying out the operation.
- Press the programmed key.
Lift the handset to talk with the party.
The indicator associated to this key stays permanently
on. The display shows the calling party's identity.
If another party tries to reach you, you will hear a beep and
the indicator associated to the second programmed key
flashes.
- Press the programmed key with the flashing indicator to
take the second party.
The indicator associated to this key stays permanently
on.
The screen displays the identity of the party that you are
talking to.
The screen displays the identity of the party that you are
talking to.
The other party is put on hold.
The indicator associated to this key flashes rapidly.
