Accuracy with Clinical Samples
Accuracy of the Osmo1 was assessed by a method comparison study between the Osmo1 and the 3320 osmometer,
according to CLSI EP09A-A3 Measurement Procedure Comparison and Bias Estimation Using Patient Samples;
Approved Guideline – Third Edition, 2013. A total of 103 clinical sample types (serum, plasma, and urine) were tested
across three (3) Osmo1 and three (3) 3320 Osmometers.
The acceptance criteria for the method comparison study are shown below.
Passing-Bablok Regression
Slope: 1.0 ± 0.05, with 1.0 included within the 95% CI
Intercept: 0.0 ± 3.0 mOsm/kg, with 0.0 included in the 95% CI
Proportional Bias: ≤ 5.0%
Constant Bias: ≤ 3 mOsm/kg
1 Performance at Reference Conditions: 20 °C to 25 °C (68 °F to 77 °F); 40 to 60% relative humidity.
