DISPLAY MESSAGES
Check for H<>X Cable Reversal
TheDTR
®
Model8510mayhavedetectedapotentiallyhazardousstep-
upconditionwhileattemptingtotestthetransformerasconnected.Verify
connections.
High Excitation Current
Check test cable connections for inadvertent short circuits. Check for
shortedtransformerwindings.
Low Battery
Asthebatteriesaredrainedduringuse,thegreenLEDwillbegintoash
whenthebatteryvoltagereachesapre-determinedthreshold.Thetests
canberunasusualduringthistimebutthebatterieswillsoonneedtobe
charged.
Asthebatteriesreachapredeterminedthreshold,LOWBATTERYindica-
tionwillappearonthedisplay.Allthebuttonswillbenon-operationalnow.
Thebatteriesmustberechargedinordertocontinuetesting.
NOTE: The DTR
®
Model 8510 charges in <4 hours. The instrument can
not be used to test when the batteries are charging.
