OPERATION
WARNING: The DTR
®
Model 8510 is designed for use on de-energized
(“dead”) transformers only. Make sure the test sample is completely
disconnected from AC power and is fully discharged.
5.1 Power Up
TurnthepowerswitchtotheONposition.
Atpowerup,theinstrumentgoesthroughaninitializationprocess:
• Beepsonce
• Displays“Initializing…PleaseWait”forashortduration
• DisplaystheCompanyNameandFirmwareversionnumber
• DisplaysDateandTimeforashortduration
• TheinstrumentrestsattheMainScreenwhichdisplays
TestType,TestMode,Filter,StorageModeandthepresent
