2.3. Measurement of control surfaces deflections
2.3.1 Required deflections
Control surfaces deflections are specified in a Control Surface Deflections Record ( see
Appendices of this Manual and in the following figure:
Ailerons:
Flaps:
Elevator:
Rudder:
A protractor with deflecting hand is used by aeroplane manufacturer to measure
deflections, the protractor is attached to a trailing edge of the control surface. There are
also described procedure in the following text ( a measurement of the distance of the
deflected control surface trailing edges from a neutral position ). Specified distances are
present in the figure.
