10. Cleaning system
failure.
• material build up under
the belt
• splice protectors / wiper cleats
must be properly installed
• material build up • moisture and water must be elim-
inated from the inside of the con-
veyor
• reloading flippers/paddles on the
tail pulley must be reloading
material - replace if necessary
11. Discharge plugging. • conveyor plugging and
shutting down
• discharge plug switch must be
located to detect a plug and shut
down the conveyor immediately
• discharge plug switch must be
operational to shut down the con-
veyor immediately
• rated capacity cannot
be reached due to
material building in the
discharge spouting
• remove build up and determine
the cause

• check size of the spouting to be
