Module Error Messages
Valve Failed (MCGV)
Error ID: 2040
Valve 0 Failed: valve A
Valve 1 Failed: valve B
Valve 2 Failed: valve C
Valve 3 Failed: valve D
One of the valves of the multi-channel gradient valve has failed to switch
correctly.
The processor monitors the valve voltage before and after each switching
cycle. If the voltages are outside expected limits, the error message is
generated.
Probable cause Suggested actions
1 Gradient valve disconnected.
Ensure the gradient valve is connected correctly.
2 Connection cable (inside instrument) not
connected.
Please contact your Agilent service
representative.
3 Connection cable (inside instrument)
defective.
Please contact your Agilent service
representative.
4 Gradient valve defective.
Exchange the gradient valve.
