Step 6. Windows Setup Wizard
8 Click OK to create a system recovery image. In the unlikely event that the
operating system becomes corrupt, a recovery image will allow you to recover
the 86100C Drive-C as described on page 2-29.

9 Click Next. The setup will take up to a minute to complete and to automatically
restart the instrument. In about one or two minutes, you should see the 86100C
screen screen, as shown in the Figure 1-11.

CAUTION To ensure proper operation of the 86100C, read “Avoid changing these Windows system
settings” on page 2-22.
NOTE When you press the ON/OFF switch to turn the instrument off, there is a small
time delay before you’ll see a change on the instrument. This is normal and
does not indicate a problem.
