Instrument Operation
NovoCyte Quanteon Flow Cytometer Operator's Guide 61
Verify and Modify Instrument Configuration
Each Agilent flow cytometer may have more than one compatible optical
configuration. It is recommended for users to view and verify the current optical
configuration before each experiment. Users can also modify or customize their
own optical configuration by replacing the appropriate optical filters of the system.
View and Verify Instrument Configuration
1 Ensure NovoExpress software is launched and the instrument is in Ready
status.
2 Click Instrument > Configuration to open the Instrument Configuration
window.

Modify Instrument Configuration
To modify or customize the optical configuration, users need to replace the
appropriate optical filters of the system following the prompt in the Instrument
Configuration window. To make the new optical configuration effective, a QC Test
with automatic adjustment of photodetector gain will be performed to optimize
instrument performance. This function provides user with more flexibility and
convenience to match instrument optical configuration with specific fluorochrome
panel.
Please follow the instructions below to modify the instrument optical
configuration.
All figures below are used for illustration purpose only. Certain fluorescence
detection channels, bandpass filters or dichroic mirrors may not be included in your
NovoCyte Quanteon system. Please consult with your local Agilent sales
representatives or distributors for more details.
