Running Samples

NOTE
Using templates helps to quickly copy the experiment settings or data analysis
method of one sample and apply them to the other samples. For example, you can
quickly copy the T-Lym experiment settings to sample NKB by dragging the
Cytometer Setting under the T-Lym sample node and dropping it to sample NKB to
apply the settings. For detailed information about the template function, please
refer to the NovoExpress Software Guide.
CAUTION
During sampling, do not obstruct the moving SIP. Do not place your hand on
the sample tube.
CAUTION
Before collecting samples, make sure the tube cap is removed from the
sample tube. Failure to do so may cause severe damage of the sample
injection probe.
WARNING
Biological samples may be biohazardous. Appropriate personal protective
equipment should be worn when handling the waste, which should be
disposed of in accordance with local safety regulations.
Perform Fluorescence Compensation
Fluorescent molecules have their own spectral emission ranges, and it is possible
that the emission spectra of two fluorescent molecules are overlapped in a certain
wavelength range. This phenomenon is called Spectral Overlap and will cause one
detector designated for detection of one fluorescent molecule to also detect
signals from another fluorescent molecule. Fluorescence compensation refers to
the process of correcting such spectral overlap, i.e. removing the interference of
other fluorescent signals from the desired signals. The NovoExpress software
offers three fluorescence compensation methods. The user can select the
appropriate method according to their needs, which makes fluorescence
compensation flexible and convenient.
Automatic Fluorescence Compensation
Automatic compensation will calculate the fluorescence compensation matrix by
the NovoExpress software automatically based on the results of an unstained
