Example
The following example limits logging messages displayed on the console to severity level errors.
logging buffered
The logging buffered Global Configuration mode command limits syslog messages displayed from an internal
buffer based on severity. Use the no form of this command to cancel using the buffer.
Syntax
logging buffered level
no logging buffered
Parameters
level — Specifies the severity level of messages logged in the buffer. Possible values: emergencies, alerts,
critical, errors, warnings, notices, informational, debugging.
Default Configuration
The default severity level is informational.

User Guidelines
All the syslog messages are logged to the internal buffer. This command limits the messages displayed to the
user.
Example
The following example limits syslog messages displayed from an internal buffer based on severity level
debugging.
logging buffered size
The logging buffered size Global Configuration mode command changes the number of syslog messages stored
in the internal buffer. Use the no form of this command to return to the default configuration.
console(config)# logging console
errors
console(config)# logging buffered
debugging
