Example: If the total weight of the ALTO upon departure is 1066 kg (2,350 lb), the tongue
minimum weight should be between 106 kg (235 lb) and 160 kg (352 lb).
To check the tongue weight, place the front jack on a personal scale. Before reading the weight
on the scale, make sure the ALTO is level from front to rear by adjusting the front jack.

Right - left: driver (left) or passenger (right)
The ALTO tends to weigh more on the driver's side (left). This is mainly due to the refrigerator,
the main cabinet unit and its contents. Ideally heavier items should be placed on the passenger
(right) side.
Top - Bottom
The heaviest items should be placed as close to floor level as possible. The lower the centre of
gravity, the more stable the trailer. The ALTO has one of the lowest centre of gravity in the
industry.
