Safari Condo weighs the trailer at manufacturing to determine Vehicle Weight. That number is
subtracted from the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the trailer to give the "Cargo
Capacity" on the label. The total weight of any and all cargo, including dealer modifications or
additions, water, and propane should never exceed the number listed. GVWR (see Specifications).
When loading the caravan, it is important to consider the cargo, the gross weight of the caravan,
the maximum technical axle weight and the load capacity of the tires (indicated on the tire). These
ratings should never be exceeded. Your safety depends on not overloading the trailer, its axle,
and its tires. See Specifications for a list of maximums.
When loading heavy objects such as tools, skillets, irons, and boxes of canned goods, etc. keep
them as low as possible - preferably on the floor. Try to hold additional weight behind the axle to
a minimum.
