Start-Up and Disinfection of Potable Water System with Truma Aquago Comfort
Plus Water Heater (Optional)
Start-Up and Disinfection
Before beginning the start-up and disinfection procedures, make sure the ALTO is level.
1. Make sure water pump is “OFF” using “PUMP” switch (photo F-1.3) on Monitor Panel. The
indicator light must be off.
2. Drain antifreeze from potable water tank by opening the exterior valve (photo E-2) located
under the trailer, behind the axle, between the wheel and the chassis on left side (or near
waste valves on some models). Close valve once empty.
3. Pour bleach in the potable water tank and completely fill the tank with water (60 ml for
ALTO 17xx, and 100 ml for ALTO s 21 and 24). (See DISINFECTION section).
4. Turn on water pump by turning on “PUMP” switch (photo F-1.3) on Monitor Panel. The
indicator light must be on.
5. Open cold water tap of kitchen sink and let water run for 30 seconds to disinfect plumbing
system.
6. Open hot water tap of kitchen sink and let water run for 30 seconds to disinfect plumbing
system.
7. Let water run in the toilet 30 seconds, 30 seconds in the toilet wash down spray.
8. Open cold water tap of inside shower for 30 seconds, then the hot water tap for 30
seconds.
9. Open cold water tap of exterior shower for 30 seconds, then the hot water tap for 30
seconds.
