Self-Heating Bluetooth Lithium Battery (Optional)
Self-heating lithium batteries have certain specific characteristics.
● A self-heating lithium battery can be recharged between -25 °C +60 °C (-13 °F 140 °F),
since it has an integrated heating element which will heat the battery before allowing the
charge, so it takes more time to recharge as the temperature goes down since it has to be
heated first (the heating cycle is fully automatic).
● Using the Volthium Bluetooth application (needs to be downloaded) you have access to
the internal temperature of the battery, the status in %, the voltage, the number of full
cycles, the charge or discharge current of the battery.
● Three-season use: spring, summer and fall, no additional management compared to a
standard battery.
● Winter use: only plan for more charging time. The colder it is, the longer it will take to
recharge the battery (at -20 °C, the charge will take 2 hours more than during the
summer).
NOTE: Bluetooth function works at a very short distance (2 to 6 feet) from the battery
compartment.
No maintenance required. When storing for a long period of time, remove solar panel fuse
(if equipped) and disconnect battery.
Lithium Battery Monitor (Optional)
● The lithium battery monitor (photo I-2) displays the charge percentage of the battery to
avoid going below the critical threshold which could damage or shorten battery life.
