10.7.2 Check bearing clearance on wheel hubs
1. To check the bearing clearance on the
wheel hubs, lift the axle until the wheels are
free.
2. Release the brake.
3. Place a lever between the tyre and the
ground and check the bearing clearance.
If there is noticeable bearing clearance:

1. Remove the dust cup or hub cap.
2. Remove the cotter pin from the axle nut.
3. Tighten the wheel nut by simultaneously
turning the wheel until the run of the wheel
hub is lightly braked.
4. Turn the axle nut back to the next possible
cotter pin hole. If there is congruence, to the
next hole (max. 30°).
5. Insert the cotter pin and bend it up slightly.
6. Replenish the dust cap with some long-
term
grease and pound or screw it into the wheel
hub.
10.8 Storage / overwintering
After use, clean the implement with a normal water jet (oiled
implements should only be cleaned on washing sites with oil
separators).
Dirt attracts moisture and leads to the formation of rust.
Protect uncoated parts (e.g. plough body, piston rod) against
rust with a corrosion protection agent (use only biodegradable
preservatives).
Do not spray the implement with aggressive, oily media for
preservation.
Repair paint damage to protect from corrosion!
Park the implement protected from the weather, but not close to
mineral fertilisers / salts or in stables.
Grease all lubrication points and wipe off emerging grease.
