The blank module has top and bottom thumbscrews that fasten the module to the front of the chassis. This
module has top and bottom edges that help locate the module in the chassis, aligning and retaining it
properly. The right side of the module is wider than the left side. The blank module must be installed with
the correct orientation in the chassis to avoid interference with other modules.
4.1.5. The Fan Module (PMC FAN01)
The fan module contains three fans and associated screens all attached to one plate. Each fan is wired to
a small controller card by a separate harness. The fan controller card is mounted to the backplane module.
WARNING Do NOT disassemble the hex-drive screws that hold the fan screens and fans to the
plate.
CAUTION Do NOT operate the PMC without the fan module installed and working properly.
4.1.6. The Backplane Module (PMC BPLN01)
The backplane module contains all of the locators and connections for the power supply module,
potentiostat modules, and fan module. It also contains the USB connection.
4.1.7. Replacing a Power Supply Module (PMC PWR01)
To replace a power supply module, first toggle the main power switch down (O) to the OFF position. THEN
DISCONNECT THE AC MAINS POWER CABLE FROM THE BACK OF THE INSTRUMENT.
WARNING Do NOT remove the power supply module from the PMC chassis without first
disconnecting the AC mains power cable from the instrument.
