6 Maintenance
This chapter explains how to perform maintenance on your self-loading bale carrier in order to
ensure its correct operation and prevent any premature wear.
Remove the tractor’s ignition key before per-
forming any maintenance or repair operation on
your machine.
During maintenance, comply with standard
safety rules. See chapter 2 Safety Measures to
find out about these rules.
It is important you perform maintenance at the
recommended intervals.
Safety Stands
Safety stands are provided to allow you to safely perform maintenance and repair operations under
the bale carrier platform.
In order to install the stands, proceed as follows:
1. Raise the platform has high as possible.
2. Place a stand (A) on each cylinder rod as shown in Figure 28 – Safety Stand.
3. Insert the pins in the strand holes to hold them in place.
4. Slowly lower the platform until its weight is resting on the stands.
Ensure that you are not crushing the stands.
