Selecting the rate
If you select an MPEG algorithm you will also be asked to select an MPEG Mode (Stereo, Joint Stereo, Dual
Mono, Mono) and an MPEG sample rate (32 kHz, 44.1 kHz 48kHz).
Note: It is not possible to use Enhanced apt-X
®
3.5kHz Stereo on a digital audio interface
then making ISDN connections using apt-X
®
. This is not the case for Enhanced apt-X
®
.
Note: In some instances G.722 connections may take some time to achieve frame alignment – this is
not a fault with the unit.
Note: Sample rates 32 and 44.1kHz are not valid options for selecting with CDQ/H221 imux mode.
Note:. H221 will only operate from 64kbs to 256kbs Equinox to Equinox.
Note: Please note that MPEG 2 L2 is not available for use over X.21 mode however it is possi-
ble to select invalid algorithms in X.21 mode if they were selected as audio profiles
If you intend to use the audio profile with an ISDN connection check the ISDN Applicable checkbox. You will
then be presented with a list of possible Inverse Multiplexing modes – select the mode appropriate for the pro-
posed connection. Note that clear mode is only available for 64k.
Mucas Imuxing is used for (e)aptx.
Clear/None is used for 64k Calls (MPEG and G7xx) where no inverse multiplexing is required.
CCS Imux is used for MPEG Layer 2 128k
H221 can be used from 64k to 256k on MPEG 2, 3 and 4 modes.
CDQ / H221 can be used up to 256k when interfacing with a Tokyo/Mayah product
Layer 3 Bonding will operate at 128k in MPEG L3 to another unit supporting L3 bonding and most
other Layer 3 supported units*
Music Taxi Bonding should be used with Dialog 4 and Orban ISDN codecs at 128kbs using MPEG 1
L2 or MPEG L3 algorithms*
You can also change the default audio profile on the WorldCast Equinox by clicking “Set this Profile on
the Unit”. If the unit is using ISDN or X.21 as the primary connection then the default audio profile will be
changed to the one selected.
