Use the or keys to highlight the secondary connection and press Ent. To disable secondary connections
choose the option None.
5.5.2.1 X.21 as a secondary network connection
If you select X.21 as a secondary backup connection you must choose an audio profile to be used if the
unit switches to using the X.21 interface.
Selecting audio profile
Use the and keys to select the audio profile you require and press Ent. Audio profiles are defined us-
ing the Audio Profile entry of the Audio Configuration menu (see section 5.9.1 Audio Profile).
5.5.2.2 IP as a secondary network connection
If you select IP as a secondary backup connection you must choose an IP speed dial to be used if the
unit switches to using the IP interface (from this it will determine what audio profile to use, what IP ad-
dress to transmit to, what port to use etc.).
Selecting IP speed dial
Use the and keys to select the IP speed dial you require and press Ent. IP speed dials are
programmed in the IP Directory entry of the IP Configuration menu (see section 5.7.1 Setup Pro-
files).
Note: Both Master and Slave units will make IP connections.
Note: SIP as a secondary connection is not supported
5.5.2.3 ISDN as a secondary network connection
If you select ISDN as a secondary backup connection you must choose an ISDN speed dial to be used if
the unit switches to using the ISDN interface. The Master will use the speed dial to change audio profile
and initiate the ISDN calls the Slave unit will use the speed dial to determine what audio profile to use
with the incoming ISDN calls.
