SBC-GX1 Windows XP Embedded Quickstart Transferring a new image to the SBC-GX1
Adding the XP boot loader
Once all the files have been transferred, a copy of the XP boot loader must be
transferred to the CompactFlash module. To do this, type ntboot c: on the SBC-GX1.
The CompactFlash module is now ready and boots into the new version of Windows XP
Embedded the next time the SBC-GX1 is restarted without the utility floppy.
When the new Windows XP Embedded image boots for the first time, the first
boot agent runs for approximately 35 minutes. Click on OK when the following
message box is displayed:
The system restarts and continues the boot process. It may take up to a further
12 minutes for the Windows XP Embedded desktop to appear. After this it
typically takes 1½ minutes to boot.
