PARKING BRAKE

1. PARKING BRAKE LEVER (SHOWN IN “OFF” POSITION)
1. PARKING BRAKE LEVER
The Parking Brake Lever has two positions.
A. ON (Apply) - Pull the lever up for the ON (Apply)
position.
B. OFF (Release) - Push the lever down for the OFF
(Release) position.

Move this lever to the left and slide the seat forward or
backward. Release the lever to lock the seat into position.
NOTE:
You MUST be seated in the operators seat to
operate this machine.
ETHER STARTING AID (if equipped)

The ether starting aid injects a measured amount of ether
into the engine during cold weather starting. Turn the key
switch to START and push the ether starting button at
least two times. A measured amount of ether is injected
into the engine each time the starting aid button is
pushed. Ether can only be injected into the engine when
the key switch is in the START position and when the
engine temperature is cold (see Ether Starting Aids in this
manual).
SEAT BELT
When the machine is equipped with a ROPS, wear the
Seat Belt during machine operation.
The illustrations that follow show the correct procedure to
fasten and release the belt.

WARNING:
You are protected by the ROPS
system (Roll Over Protective Structure). The seat
belt is an important part of the ROPS system.
Before you operate this machine, always fasten
the seat belt. If the machine rolls over and you
DO NOT have the seat belt fastened, you can be
crushed by the ROPS or the machine.
WARNING:
Securely fasten your seat belt. Your
machine is equipped with a ROPS cab, ROPS
canopy or ROPS frame for your protection. The
seat belt can help insure your safety if it is used
and maintained. Never wear a seat belt loosely or
with slack in the belt system. Never wear the belt
in a twisted condition or pinched between the seat
structural members.
