4. Install the plug.
NOTE:

(differential and planetary) oil specifications.
5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for the other differential.
Breather (if equipped)
Clean the breather for each axle every 1,000 hours of
operation or each year, whichever occurs first.
1. Clean the area around the breather with cleaning
solvent.
2. Remove the breather.
3. Clean the breather with cleaning solvent.
4. Dry the breather with compressed air. Always
wear face protection when using compressed
air.
5. Install the breather.
Axle Oil Change
Change the oil for each axle every 1,000 hours of
operation or once each year, whichever occurs first.
If possible, change the oil when the oil is warm.

1. Loosen the cap screws (2) and cover (1) and drain
the differential. The differential capacity is
approximately 1.9 litres (2 U.S. pints).
2. Remove the cap screws and cover.
3. The cover uses form-in-place gasket material to seal
the cover. Clean the surfaces and install a form-in-
place gasket material.
4. Install the cover and cap screws. Tighten the cap
screws to a torque of 41 to 54 Nm (30 to 40 ft lb).
5. Remove the plug (3).
6. Fill the differential with oil. The oil must be level with
the bottom of the hole for the plug.
NOTE:

7. Install the plug.
Repeat Steps 1 through 7 for the other differential.

Oil Level
Check the oil level every 10 hours of operation or each
day, whichever occurs first.
Park the machine on a level surface and position the
gearbox in the OPERATING position when you check the
oil level.
1. Clean the area around the filler plug with cleaning
solvent.
2. Remove the filler plug.
3. The oil level is correct when the oil level is at the
bottom of the oil level plug hole.
4. Add oil as required.

5. Install the filler plug.
