CABLE PLOW OPERATION
Cable Chute
The cable chute is attached to the back of the blade.
Some chutes have replaceable links and some chutes are
attached directly to the blade.
To install cable, remove the gate pin and pull the gate
rearward. Install the cable and install the gate - bottom
first. Install the gate pin and hair pin.
NOTE:
Check the cable chute frequently for wear or
damage. Replace the links or hardware if damaged.
Plow Transport Pin
Install the transport pin any time the plow is raised and
remove the pin before you lower the plow.

Lowering and Raising the Blade
NOTE:
Know the location of all underground utilities
before starting.
1. Do not start plow operation (vibration) until the blade
tip has entered the ground.
2. Slowly lower the plow into the ground as the machine
is moved forward to prevent chute or cable damage.
3. Slow the machine speed if the tires slip during plow
operation.
4. Slow the machine speed if the blade raises out of the
ground during plow operation.
5. Slow the machine speed and stop plow operation
(vibration) before the blade is raised out of the
ground when you have finished the plowing
operation.
IMPORTANT:
The life of the cable plow will be reduced
if the vibrator is operated when the blade is out of the
ground.
