Park the machine on a level surface and position the
gearbox in the OPERATING position when you check the
oil level.
1. Clean the area around the drain and filler plugs with
cleaning solvent.
2. Remove the drain plug and drain the Hydra-Borer.
The Hydra-Borer capacity is approximately 0.9 litres
(1 U.S. quart).
3. Install the drain plug.
4. Fill the Hydra-Borer with oil until the oil level is even
with the bottom of the hole for the filler plug.
NOTE:
See Lubricants in this manual for oil specifications.
5. Clean the breather with cleaning solvent.
6. Dry the breather with compressed air.
7. Install the filler plug.
NOTE:
Before placing Hydra-Borer back into service,
inspect for proper placement and condition of all guards.
Replace any missing or damaged guards.
