STEP AND HAND RAIL

1. STEPS 2. HAND RAIL
Face the machine and use the hand rail and step to get
ON or OFF the machine. DO NOT use the control levers as
grab handles.
OPERATOR POSITION
Trencher Driving, Transport Position
Sit on the operator’s seat facing the Trencher end of the
machine. Operate the controls for the machine and
trencher in this position. See Instrument Panel Controls in
this manual.

Backfill Operating Position
Sit on the operator’s seat facing the Backfill Blade of the
machine. Operate the controls for the machine and
backfill blade in this position. See Backfill Blade Controls
in this manual.

Operate controls only when in the
operator’s seat.

WARNING:
CLEAR THE WORK AREA OF ALL
BY-STANDERS. During digging maintain a
minimum safety zone of 50 ft. (15 M) around the
machine.
WARNING:
Make sure all people are clear of the
digging chain while the digging chain is rotating.
Serious injury or death can result from contact
with the digging chain.
WARNING:
Sharp moving parts - do not remove
restraint bar. Keep clear of hazardous area. KEEP
CLEAR. Serious injury or death can result from
bodily contact.
