TRANSMISSION AND GEAR
REDUCTION HOUSING
Transmission Oil Level
The transmission oil level should be checked every 250
hours of operation.

Check the transmission oil level with the engine stopped,
key removed and the machine parked on a level surface.
Loosen and remove the level plug (1). The oil must be
even with the hole for the level plug. Add oil as necessary.
Gear Reduction Housing Oil Level
The gear reduction housing oil should be replaced every
1,000 hours of operation.

Check the housing oil level with the engine stopped, key
removed and the machine parked on a level surface.
Loosen and remove the level plug (2). The oil must be
even with the hole for the level plug. Add oil as necessary.
Transmission Oil Change
The transmission oil should be changed every 1,000 hours
of operation.

1. Make sure the transmission oil is at operating
temperature.
2. Park the machine on a level surface, stop the engine
and remove the key.
3. Move the Steering Brake Levers all the way
REARWARD to lock the brakes.
4. Put a drain pan below the transmission. The
transmission holds approximately 0.95 L (1 U.S. Qt.)
of oil.
5. Loosen and remove the lowest bolt (1) on the LEFT
side of the transmission housing to drain the oil.
6. When all the oil is drained from the transmission,
install and tighten the bolt.
7. Fill the transmission through the level plug hole (2)
until the oil is even with the bottom of the hole.
8. Install and tighten the level plug.
