Gear Reduction Housing Oil Change

1. Make sure the gear reduction housing oil is a
operating temperature.
2. Park the machine on a level surface, stop the engine
and remove the key.
3. Move the Steering Brake Levers all the way
REARWARD to lock the brakes.
4. Put a drain pan below the gear reduction housing.
The gear reduction housing holds approximately 0.25
L (0.25 U.S. Qt.) of oil.
5. Remove the drain plug (1) and drain the oil from the
gear reduction housing.
6. When all the oil has been drained from the gear
reduction housing, install and tighten the drain plug.
7. Fill the gear reduction housing through the level plug
hole (2) until the oil is even with the bottom of the
hole.
8. Install and tighten the level plug.

1. Park the machine on a level surface, stop the engine
and remove the key.
2. Move the Steering Brake Levers all the way
REARWARD to lock the brakes.
3. Remove the chain cover (1) and lubricate the
trencher drive chain (2) with Case Chain Lubricant.
Case Chain Lubricant is available from your dealer.
4. After lubrication is complete, install the chain cover.
IMPORTANT:
Always replace chain cover after servicing
the machine. NEVER operate the machine without covers
or guards in place.
