6. If the deflection is not correct, loosen the four
transmission mounting bolts (1).
7. To Tighten the track (Decrease the deflection), do
the following steps:
A. Remove the cap from the grease fitting in the track
adjusting cylinder.
B. Add grease to the track adjusting cylinder.
8. To Loosen the track (Increase the deflection), do
the following steps:
A. Slowly loosen the grease fitting in the track
adjusting cylinder until grease starts to flow from
the track adjusting cylinder. As the grease flows
from the track adjusting cylinder the deflection will
increase.
NOTE:
If grease does not start to drain, SLOWLY rotate
the track
.
B. When the track deflection is correct, tighten the
grease fitting.
9. Tighten the four transmission mounting bolts, when
adjustment is completed.
ROLL-OVER PROTECTION
STRUCTURE
If your machine is equipped with a ROLL-OVER
PROTECTIVE STRUCTURE (ROPS). A ROPS certification
label is fastened to the structure with the following
information: ROPS Serial Number, maximum gross
machine weight, machine model number, and ISO
number.
Maintenance and Inspection of ROPS
Do the following items every 500 hours of operation or
when the ROPS has been in an accident (for example,
hitting an overhead object, or the machine rolling over).
IMPORTANT:
If the ROPS part is damaged, you must
replace the ROPS before you operate the machine.
WARNING:
The grease in the hydraulic track
tensioner is pressurized. NEVER loosen grease
valve more than one turn. NEVER remove the
grease fitting. If the valve is loosened too much or
if fitting is removed, grease will be released under
pressure causing serious injury.
1
WARNING:
Do not modify ROPS in any manner.
Unauthorized modifications such as welding,
drilling, cutting or adding attachments can
weaken the structure and reduce your protection.
Replace ROPS if subjected to roll-over or damage.
Do not attempt to repair.
WARNING:
If you try to operate this machine
without a ROPS and the machine rolls over, you
can be injured or killed. Remove the ROPS only
for service or replacement.
WARNING:
Adding additional weight
(attachments, etc). to the machine can cause
injury or death. Do not exceed the gross weight
printed on the ROPS label.
WARNING:
Improper ROPS inspection or
maintenance can cause injury or death. Do the
recommended ROPS inspection shown in this
manual. If you must replace the ROPS, ROPS
parts, or ROPS mounting hardware, use only the
replacement parts shown in the Astec parts
catalog for this machine.
WARNING:
You are protected by the ROPS
(Roll-Over Protective Structure) system on this
machine. The seat belt is an important part of
that ROPS system. Before you operate this
machine, always fasten the seat belt. If the
machine rolls over and you DO NOT have the seat
belt fastened, you can be crushed by the ROPS or
the machine.
