4. To Tighten the track or Decrease the deflection
remove the cap (2) from the grease fitting in the track
adjusting cylinder.
B4032890
5. Add grease to the track adjusting cylinder until the
track tension is correct.
B4032690
6. To Loosen the track, turn grease valve (3)
counterclockwise NO MORE THAN ONE TURN. One
turn of the valve will release grease and loosen the
track.
7. When the track tension is correct tighten the grease
fitting.
NOTE:
If grease does not start to drain, SLOWLY rotate
the track
.

8. After adjustment of the track tension is complete
tighten the four transmission mounting bolts.
Rubber Track Machine
Check the track tension every 50 hours of operation.
1. Park the machine on a level surface, stop the engine
and remove the key.
2. Measure the distance between the top of the track
and the bottom of the track frame. Record this
measurement.
3. Add 12 mm (1/2 inch) to the measurement found in
Step 2. The answer is the correct track deflection. Do
the procedure in Steps 4 through 9 to check and
adjust the deflection.
4. Raise the machine until the track is above the ground.

5. Measure the distance between the track frame and
the top of the track. This measurement must equal
the measurement calculated in Step 3.

WARNING:
The grease in the hydraulic track
tensioner is pressurized. NEVER loosen grease
valve more than one turn. NEVER remove the
grease fitting. If the valve is loosened too much or
if fitting is removed, grease will be released under
pressure causing serious injury.
