TRENCHER DIGGING CHAIN TENSION
Check the tension of the digging chain frequently. The
tension specifications are for normal soil conditions.
Change the tension according to your soil conditions.
Increase tension in hard rocky soils and decrease the
tension in loose soils. Do not overtighten the chain.
Operating the trencher with the chain too tight will
increase the wear and decrease the service life of the
digging chain, sprockets and boom.
NOTE:
A digging chain tension set too tight will decrease
productivity
