The condition is a result of a choked or blocked intake
probe (hose) or sucking water.

The device operates the valve several times in order
to reduce underpressure (clicking sound may be
heard from inside).
The user is informed with the error message and
asked for fixing the problem.

The
following action of the analyzer tries to avoid
water penetration into a sensitive optical bench. The
device actuates the valve and the pump in several
cycles (with corresponding sound effects) and in the
meantime it is testing if conditions returned back into
a normal state (see pos 1 in Fig. 3), i. e. the probe is
clean again. In case of success the measurement can
continue.

24.2 COARSE FILTER INSPECTION AND CLEANING
The sintered bronze grain coarse filter may be cleaned by washing in spirit. After cleaning the filter it must be
rinsed out thoroughly in clean water and blown through with pressurised air.
Filter contamination can prolong the residual hydrocarbon check and so increase the overall time of the emission
test.
